INGREDIENTS
- 250g pecan nuts (halved or quartered, according to preference)
- 100g icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
NOTE
If you like a little heat, add a light sprinkling of chilli flakes to taste.
DIRECTIONS
| 1. | |
| In a medium pan, gently heat the icing sugar with the vanilla extract until the sugar begins to melt and forms a syrup. | |
| 2. | |
| Stir in the ground cinnamon until evenly combined. | |
| 3. | |
| Remove the pan from the heat and add all the pecan nuts at once, stirring quickly to coat them evenly in the syrup. | |
| 4. | |
| Pour the coated nuts onto a baking tray lined with parchment and spread them out so they don’t clump together. | |
| 5. | |
| Allow the nuts to cool completely. If they stick together, gently break them apart. Transfer to sterilised jars for gifting or enjoy straight away. | |
